Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.

I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I'm being productive when I'm really just procrastinating. Here's a big list of all of my favorite stuff.

Workstation

    14" MacBook Pro, M4 Pro, 16GB RAM

I was using an Apple-based 14" MacBook Pro prior to this and the difference is night and day. I've never heard the fans turn on a single time, even under incredibly heavy loads.

    MSI MP241V Monitor

This is a gaming monitor with 24".

    LG 29UM69G-B Monitor

This is a monitor with 29".

Akko PC 75 White & Blue Keyboard

This is a Christmas gift my wife gave me.

    Logitech MX Master 3s Anywhere

I really like the scroll of it, also the weight of the mouse.

Development tools

    Cursor

My primary code editor. Cursor is an AI-powered editor that makes coding incredibly efficient with its built-in AI assistance.

    GitHub Copilot

AI pair programmer that suggests code completions and entire functions as I type.

    VS Code

My backup editor for quick edits and lightweight tasks.

    WebStorm

Great for large TypeScript projects with deep IDE features.

    TablePlus

Great software for working with databases. Has saved me from building countless admin interfaces over the years.

Design

    Figma

We started using Figma as just a design tool but now it's become our virtual whiteboard. The collaboration features are the real hook.

Productivity

    Notion

Using a daily notes system instead of trying to keep things organized by topics has been super powerful for me.
